Dimmer

Kitchen table under dim evening light

Lift stopped one floor early. I walked the stairs and counted paint patches. Too thin for a full piece.

Receipt in the drawer from a nature-park kiosk. The numbers faded from mind on purpose — only the paper stayed.

Heard kopi poured three floors down. Smell stronger than the story.

Last bus empty except me and a folded newspaper.

Corridor lamp flicker matched my typing pause.

Rain on the railing; notebook stayed closed.

MRT delay announcement became background. Not worth a page.

Not every observation earns a full page. The dimmer holds what I would otherwise lose between laundry cycles — small frictions, smells, delays, almost-stories.

If a note graduates from here, it moves to the card rack or the main index. Most stay dim on purpose.
